Who Is Sri?

I’m Sri, your business’s backbone, passionate about empowering solopreneurs and SMBs.

I am a graduate of the Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. I started working part-time in the IT department of the business school in 1998, right after I started my degree program and would do so until the time of my graduation. For my efforts, I was recognised for my outstanding work in the areas of IT support, student supervision and leadership.

After graduation, I successfully filled varied roles spanning many industries across different countries, including the United States, the Middle East (Dubai) and now, Australia. I invite you to view my LinkedIn profile so that you can get the finer details of my professional journey.

I founded Mustard Seed IT with a passion to provide businesses strategic advice as well as practical IT solutions and support. Mustard Seed IT stands apart from other practitioners in the crowded marketplace by always placing people before profit. I believe in professional accountability and integrity and remain an active member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), the professional association for Australia’s ICT sector. Though I don’t elevate certifications above actual industry experience, I hold the following industry recognised certifications: CompTIA Security+Amazon AWS Certified Cloud PractitionerMicrosoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals. In 2024, I successfully earned my PRINCE2 Practitioner credentials, further enhancing my ability to deliver successful projects. I also became ISC2 CC – Certified in Cybersecurity to strengthen my cybersecurity skills.

I am also a passionate educator, very well regarded by students drawn to my teaching style, real world experience, authenticity, and friendly personality. My recognition as a Fellow of the HEA in 2020, at the height of the COVID pandemic, is a testament to excellence I strive for. In 2025, I completed my TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, which bolsters my skills in delivering effective training. I moved on from Queensland University of Technology in 2023 after starting out in 2015 and I’m currently a lecturer in the School of Business at Christian Heritage College.

My deep desire to help others led me to volunteer as a mentor with the Mentoring for Growth program (M4G), an initiative of the Queensland government, where eligible businesses are offered free access to volunteer business experts who provide insights, options and suggestions relating to challenges and opportunities you are experiencing in their business.

I am a husband and father, and my family is my priority, and I will not allow business and other personal commitments to get in the way of looking after my family.

I am also a faithful follower of Jesus, attending regular fellowship at Grace Bible Church Springwood, where I currently serve as a deacon. My faith in Jesus governs all aspects of my life, hence my Christ-centred approach to the way I run Mustard Seed IT. Despite my 25 years of experience, I genuinely believe that it is the Lord Jesus who helps me do everything well and serve my clients with excellence and integrity. I will be the first to tell you that I am a work in progress and have a long way to go to even remotely resemble Jesus.

It is my sincere hope that this about section helps you to learn a little about the sort of person that I am, and that it will encourage you to do business with me.

God bless.
