How many of you started humming “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice? Be honest.
For more than a decade now, I’ve had the strongest desire to collaborate with others, primarily in the technology space, but not necessarily limited to it. That dream has yet to materialise, but I haven’t given up hope and continue to make attempts to seek collaborators.
Perhaps I am a dreamer, an idealist, and too naive for my own good, but I believe there is strength in numbers, and I have faith that when the right people come together for the right reasons to create something the right way, then success will follow.
I cannot speak for other areas, but being that I am in the tech space, and given how far technology has come and how AI is causing major disruptions, I sincerely believe that now is the time for us to collaborate and create together. I have tried to build or create things on my own, but have learned that it’s much easier to do something incredible when you have like-minded people around you, people who complement your skills and share your vision. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my dreams and ideas to die just because I didn’t have anyone to partner with me. Listen to what king Solomon says in the Bible.
“Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Besides the experience and skills I bring to the table, I think my ability to empower and motivate people to believe in themselves and to draw out their strengths, as well as my outgoing personality that makes it easy for me to talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime without jargon, will be most beneficial to those who collaborate with me. Most importantly, I would never wrong you or anyone else because I follow Jesus and fear God. That said, I am also discerning when it comes to who I choose to collaborate with, because I don’t want to be taken advantage of either.
